Police Activities League
On Wednesday, October 21, Coca-Cola and Circle K hosted a Charlotte Bobcats' Basketball Clinic at the newly refurbished Mecklenburg County Park and Greenville Recreation Center. Members from the Police Activities League and Bobcat players Raja Bell and Raymond Felton participated in the clinic."Coca-Cola is honored to host the Bobcats’ Basketball Clinic and to support the Police Activities League’s mission to help children in our community,” said Pam Thompson, Commercial Execution Manager, Coca-Cola North America. Thompson added, “Coca-Cola is extremely proud to fund the improvements to the Greenville Recreation Center as part of our campaign designed to give back to the communities where we live and do business." The Police Activities League offers the necessary support to enhance the lives of youth and young adults that reside within low-income Charlotte-Mecklenburg communities. It will offer adult and youth peer mentoring, after school educational and computer enrichment, summer camp programs, substance abuse prevention and education counseling, self-improvement skills, decision-making guidance and team concept awareness.
