The Sprite Spark Parks Project is Sprite's multi-year commitment to bringing a 'spark' to active spaces within communities across the country. In 2011, Sprite will invest $2 million to construct, refurbish and creatively refresh more than 150 neighborhood parks, athletic fields, playgrounds and basketball courts. Budget cuts mean schools are being built without playgrounds and sports programs are disappearing. Sprite, as an advocate for active spaces for America's youth, is giving people across the country the chance to bring their neighborhoods clean, safe and creative places to play for years to come.
Here are three ways you can get involved this year:
School Playgrounds, Tracks, and Athletic Fields (July – Sept)
Sprite and My Coke Rewards for Schools are giving you the chance to win a refurbished playground, track, or athletic field for your local school! 25 schools will win a $25,000 grant to bring a spark to their park.
