Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torchbearer
Director of Entertainment Marketing,
Coca-Cola North America
Member of Lupus Foundation of America
- Georgia Chapter
Jed was 13 when his brother was diagnosed with Lupus. Through his family’s strong community involvement, Jed learned the power of giving back at an early age. Jed wanted to help find a cure and joined the local Atlanta chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA-GA).
With Jed’s help, LFA-GA has raised over $600,000 from walks dedicated to Lupus. Jed personally galvanized his friends, relatives and colleagues to raise over $15,000.
He also secured over $100,000 in media sponsorships and print magazine exposure for the walk in
People, Time, Sports Illustrated and
Entertainment Weekly. With Jed's leadership and dedication, the Walk for Lupus Now is the largest Lupus walk in the US. There is also an official "Lupus Awareness Day" in Georgia based on the chapter's efforts. This past year, LFA-GA won Chapter of the Year.
