Singapore Airlines Cancellation Charges 

Singapore Airlines has a flexible cancellation policy that allows you to cancel your booking up to two hours before the scheduled departure time. Cancellations made after this time are subject to a cancellation fee. You can cancel your booking online, or by contacting the Singapore Airlines Customer Service Centre. You must cancel your flight before the two-hour deadline to be eligible for a refund. Instead, you will be given a credit voucher which you can use to book and travel on Singapore Airlines flights within 12 months of the original ticket issue date. Singapore Airlines charges cancellation fees depending on the type of ticket purchased.   

Cancellation Charges Fare Types 

  • For Economy Class tickets, the cancellation fee is S$50 per ticket.   
  • For Business Class and First Class tickets, the cancellation fee is S$100 per ticket.   
  • For KrisFlyer members, the cancellation fee is waived if you cancel your ticket within 24 hours of purchase.   
  • If you cancel after the 24-hour window, you will be charged the applicable cancellation fees as stated above.   
  • If you cancel a ticket purchased through a travel agent, the fees will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the ticket purchased.

Different ways to get a refund from Singapore Airlines  

Request a Refund Online: Customers can request a refund online at Singapore Airlines' website. Once the request is approved, the refund will be issued to the customer's original payment method.  

Contact Customer Service: Customers can contact Singapore Airlines customer service to request a refund. They can do this by phone, email, or chat.  

Visit a Singapore Airlines Office: Customers can also visit a Singapore Airlines office in person to request a refund.  

Contact the Credit Card Company: Customers can contact their credit card company and request a refund if they paid for their ticket with a credit card.  

File a Claim with Travel Insurance: If the customer has travel insurance, they can file a claim to receive a refund.
