INTRODUCTION:

The word taweed is originated from an Arabic word,”wahdah” which means unifications to make something one. This word is referred for Allah almighty to admit this fact that oneness belongs only to him, his the only creator of the universe, all worship belongs to him. And all the workings of this universe both directly or indirectly linked to mankind are controlled by Allah almighty. Tawheed is one of the foremost important belief of Islam without which one cannot call himself a Muslim. This belief affirms the oneness of Allah and being a Muslim we believe that it’s only his right to bow of heads down in front of him and to obey his orders and commands. The concept of tawheed has its deep root in the teachings of Quran and the principles of our prophet peace be upon him and it is one of the five basic principles of Islam. It has laid the foundation of other pillars like namaz, fasting etc. This concept has a direct influence on our life. As a Muslim ours prayers should be directed for Allah alone and we should restrain ourselves from any kind of shirk. This aspect of Tawheed is also affirmed by the testimony of faith (Shahada). Tawheed it not just a belief it is a motto that completely governs Muslim’s life. In order to understand the qur’anic principles we should try to learn Quran with Urdu translation

TYPES OF TAWHEED:

Based on the beliefs tawheed in Islam is of three types:

Tawheed al-Rububiyyah:

According to Tawheed al-Rububiyyah Allah is the only one in its lordship. Being a Muslim we affirm that only Allah is the one to be worshiped, he is unique in his actions, in his soverginity, in deciding matters like life and death, in controlling worldly affairs like pouring rain etc. we cannot call our self a Muslim until we admit that all the working on the earth is governed by Allah and he is the only master to be obeyed. He is having the power to decide our destiny hence being a Muslim we should have faith on divine will and decree (al-qadar), both good and bad. For the better upbringing of our kids we should provide basic Islamic studies for kids

Tawheed al-Uluhiyy:

According to Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah Allah almighty is the alone to be worshipped it is only his right to be worshipped to be prayed to. As a Muslim it is our duty to bow our heads in front of him. He should be loved above all and should be feared most, and should be obeyed above everyone. His orders should be our first priority.

  • Tawheed al-Asma' wa al-Sifat:

According to Tawheed al-Asma' wa al-Sifat allah is alone in his names and attributes. He has unique names that are not compared with anyone else and anyone who disobeys this belief fall short of tawheed and is considered to commit shirk. It is considered forbidden to a Muslim to deny any name or description of Allah that is explained in Islam. If we focus on Quran recitation and Quran memorization we can follow tawheed more closely.

IMPACTS OF TAWHEED:

Tawheed imparts deep impacts on Muslims. This belief develops a strong bond between Allah and mankind as a Muslim knows that he only has to call upon to Allah for his needs and only through him his prayers can be answered as a result our faith on Allah is strengthened. When we have a belief that all of our good deeds will be rewarded we work hard for the success of this word and the word here after.
