Let's start with the option when you do not want to delete the entire page, but want to hide some publications for everyone. Removing them is not necessary. To do this, there is a function "File" in the application. You select the photo you want to delete and click on the three dots at the top right, in the drop-down menu, click on "File". Now the photo is not visible in your profile. She is herself left, as well as comments and likes, but only you can see such publications.
You can look at this photo yourself at any time. To do this, in your profile you have to click on the sign in the form of three stripes at the top right and select "File" there. The application shows all archived publications. If you have activated the option "Save stories to archive", you have two archives in the archive - archived stories and archived publications, you can switch from one to another by clicking on the arrow at the top.
Returning to the publication to its original place is also easy. We go into the archive, open the photo and by clicking on the three points in the upper right corner, select "View in profile". The publication returns to its original place.
How to delete an account temporarily
You can temporarily disable your Instagram account if, for example, you want to return to the social network. In this case, you can always reset the page later. To temporarily disconnect an account is only possible from the browser, this does not work in the application.
Log in to your account on the site to deactivate the account. Open your page and click on "Edit profile" next to your nickname.
On the page that opens, scroll down and click on the inscription "Temporarily block my account" in the lower right corner.
Then you need to select the reason for the block in the drop-down list and enter the password to confirm your choice. Then your Instagram page is hidden from all users.
The difference from just a closed account is that you can still find a page that is only open to friends, even if your publications are not visible to a third-party user. In addition, your photos will still be visible to friends. A temporarily blocked account is excluded from the search and can not be opened even with a direct link.
If after a while you choose to return the page again, you can do so in the same place - when you edit the profile.
Delete your account forever
If you have definitely decided that you will not use a social network and that you do not need a page, you can use the final deletion of your account. Please note that if you select this option, it will not be possible to reset your account. You will also not be able to register again in social networks under the same name. All publications, photos, videos, stories, subscribers, profile descriptions - all this is permanently deleted. So do not forget to save everything you consider necessary before deleting.
Again, it is only possible to delete an account from a computer, this option is not provided in the phone application - apparently, in order not to delete the account by mistake, there are many cases when a person accidentally touched the screen in the wrong place or the phone was removed A little child.
So you need to log in to your account on the Instagram site and then go to the delete page with this link. There is no way out of this feature from your profile or Instagram homepage.
Here you must select the reason for deleting the page from the drop-down list and confirm your password.
