The 2022 NFL season is going on in full swing with athletes thriving hard in their custom football uniforms. The players are competing for the neck-and-neck match in their custom football uniforms on the field just like the teams did in the valuation list released earlier in the year.
Even though all 32 teams share approximately 70% of the football revenue, some other factors increase the valuation of one team in their custom football uniforms is much higher than the others. The teams which are capable of leveraging their brands and stadiums to increase their sponsorship, hospitality, luxury suite, and other revenue which is not from the NFL typically worth higher than others. The Dallas Cowboys is an excellent example, which tops the list with their $8 billion net worth.
Nonetheless, the NFL’s value skyrocketed this year with amazingly high profitability. The average NFL team’s worth is $4.14 billion in 2022. This is 28% more than last year’s average value.
Breakdown of NFL’s Team Revenue
The valuation of each team is calculated by adding the figures for revenue generated in the 2021 NFL season and the current operating income of the teams. The operating income includes earnings without interest, taxes, any amount of depreciation, and/or amortization. In addition, it also considers the net debt of stadium service. The debt refers to the team and stadium dept resort to the owner of the teams.
The team valuation employs the cash enterprise values that are total equity plus total debt. Furthermore, it adds all the revenue of the team owners from non-NFL events held at team stadiums. However, the real estate value of the stadium is not included.
The sources of NFL team valuations are team executives, legal consultants, sports bankers, public documents, executives from the sponsoring industry, and broadcasting executives.

No 1: Dallas Cowboys
Owner: Jerry Jones
Dallas cowboys remain at the number in 2022 with their net worth of $8 billion. It is the fourteenth consecutive year for them to sit on the top of the list. Also, they are the first one on the list to generate revenue over one billion dollars. They are the most valuable team in all kinds of sports with a net operating income of $466M, a 1-year value change of 23%, and a debt value of 4%.
No. 2: New England Patriots

New England Patriots stand 2nd with their net worth of $6.4 Billion. They increased in value by 28% since last year with total revenue of $651 million. In addition, their current operating income is $231 million with a 3% debt value.
No. 3: Los Angeles Rams
Owner: E. Stanley Kroenke
Los Angeles Rams rank third with a total worth of $6.2 billion. They have a total revenue of $628 million. In addition, they rise 29% in value in one year. They have a current operating income of $203 million, with a debt value of 51%.
No. 4: New York Giants
Owner: John Mara, Steven Tisch
New York Giants come 4th in the NFL ranking of 2022. They have a total worth of $6 billion with net revenue of $584 million. They have seen 24% of 1-yr net value change with their operating income of 178 million dollars and a debt value of 8%.
No. 5: Chicago Bears
Owner: McCaskey Family
On number 5th, is the Chicago Bears with a total worth of $5.8B and net revenue of $584M. They are one of the four teams this year with more than a 40% increase in value since last year. Their approximate rise is 42%. Also, they have a current operating income of $156M, with a debt value of 2%.
No. 6: Washington Commanders

Washington Commanders stand 6th with their net worth of $5.6 Billion. They increased in value by 33% since last year with total revenue of $519 million. In addition, their current operating income is $136 million with a 10% debt value.
No. 7: New York Jets

New York Jets rank seventh with a total worth of $5.4 billion. They have a total revenue of $519 million. In addition, they rise 33% in value in one year. They have a current operating income of $136 million, with a debt value of 10%.

The San Francisco 49ers come 8th in the NFL ranking of 2022. They have a total worth of $5.2 billion with net revenue of $575 million. They have seen a 25% of 1-yr net value change with their operating income of 142 million dollars and a debt value of 5%.

On number 9th, is the Las Vegas Riders with a total worth of $5.1 billion and net revenue of $563 million.
